BATTERY RANGE

Our batteries can run up to 65/80/100/100/100km in assist mode, respectively on M1/F1/M1 Plus/T1/T1 Step-Thru, on a full charge. However, there are many factors that affect the range of the battery. Here are some examples of conditions that may have negative impact on the range:

  • Headwind
  • Hilly terrain
  • Soft ground
  • Low tire pressure
  • High assistance level
  • Throttle usage
  • No or poor maintenance
  • Acceleration
  • Low manual pedaling force
  • High weight, the bike is heavily loaded

These are important factors to take into consideration when planning your ride!

You can maximize your battery range by following these tips:

  • Accelerate slowly and avoid over use of the throttle
  • Pedal more to avoid letting the motor do all the work
  • Stick to hills with less than a 15% grade
  • When climbing hills with a grade of more than 16%, dismount your bike and engage walk mode by pressing the down button on your button pad

NOTE

Above max speed and mileage data are provided by the Eleglide lab. The e-scooter was fully charged under regular environment temperature around 25°C, no wind and with a 70kg load on the e-bike. Driven on a flat road with an average speed of 20km/h. The actual data may vary based on different road conditions, temperature, humidity, wind speed, and rider's habit (whether often use the brakes, frequently shift speeds, etc.) and rider's weight.

CHARGING

You may charge the battery when it is mounted on the bike, but can also be removed and charged at any electrical wall outlet.

To Remove the battery:

  1. Unlock the battery and remove the key.
  2. Pull the battery upwards until it releases from the battery rails.
  3. Pull the battery out through the side of the frame.

To reattach the battery:

  1. Carefully slide the battery back down the mount on the frame.
  2. Lock the battery to prevent theft and to ensure the battery remains properly mounted.

Complete charging time for a fully discharged battery is about 3-7 hours(refer to different models). Only charge the battery using the provided charger. When charging is completed, disconnect the charger.

Charge the battery regularly between rides. Do not allow your battery to remain in a discharged state for long periods of time, as this may negatively affect the long term life of the battery.

If you are experiencing issues with your charger, or your battery is not charging, feel free to contact a member of our Technical Support team, and we will do our best to assist you.

STORAGE

As an integral part of e-bikes and e-scooters, the battery definitely needs to be protected well and stored in proper conditions. A well maintained battery can perform well even after many miles of riding. Here are some tips of storing lithium-ion batteries.

  1. Charge the battery after each ride and avoid draining the battery completely. Because completely draining the battery may cause permanent damage to it. Never keep the lithium-ion battery discharged for a long time. If the voltage of the cell drops under allowed limit due to self-discharge, it will cause damage. For a maximum durability, store the battery charged up to 50% of the maximum capacity.
  2. Never charge the battery in an explosive or flammable environment or near flammable liquids. Do not charge the battery on a flammable substrate, such as paper, textiles, etc., when the battery is detached from the vehicle.
  3. Never charge a battery which is already damaged or is leaking.
  4. It is better to store the battery indoors within 20°C-25°C temperature while it is not being used for a long time. (When used at 25°C, the battery range and performance is at its best. But using it at a temperature below 0°C can decrease its mileage and performance.)
  5. Do not store the battery at a too high or too low temperature.
  6. The humidity of the storage place should be 60±25%RH.
  7. Do not puncture, hit or crash the battery.

WARNING

a. Never charge the battery in an explosive or flammable environment and near flammable liquids. Do not carry out charging on a slightly flammable substrate (such as paper, textiles, etc.) when the battery is removed.

b. Never charge a battery which is visible damaged or its filling is leaking.

c. Every time before charging the battery, check the charger, cable and plug. If you find damage, do not use the charger.

d. Do not expose the battery to water, which will lead to irreversible damage of your battary, eventually can cause the battery explosion.
